Welcome to CoastEase, a network of professional mariners driven by a shared passion for the sea. Our team is comprised of United States Coast Guard Veterans with a wealth of personal and professional maritime experience, totaling over 80 years. We serve Pensacola, Perdido Key and Orange Beach for Captain services, training and yacht management. We travel world-wide for vessel delivery. We are fluent in both sailboats and powerboats, and are dedicated to imparting our knowledge and expertise, ensuring that fellow mariners have safe and joyful experiences on the water.

With a deep-rooted love for all things in, on, or near the water, CoastEase is more than just a company—it's a community built on trust, camaraderie, and a commitment to excellence. Clay is an avid fisherman who loves a great day on the water. He retired from the United States Coast Guard as a Senior Chief Operations Specialist after serving on several Cutters and managing Rescue Coordination Centers and local emergency operations centers. He was also an instructor teaching emergency operations and case management for search and rescue, pollution mitigation and law enforcement. He has experience in Alaska, East Coast, West Coast, Gulf of Mexico, Great Lakes and the Caribbean.

Towing and Sailing Endorsements

ANSI Instructor

A lifelong mariner, she grew up sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, which led to living aboard a sailboat while cruising from Maine down through the Caribbean to Grenada. She went on to drive boats for the U.S. Coast Guard as a Boatswains Mate and earned the coveted Heavy Weather Surfman certification (#414). She also served as an instructor teaching boat handling and vessel management. She retired from the USCG as a Lieutenant Commander with a specialty in large scale emergency management. She has been working as a professional mariner since 1999 and has captained vessels on the West Coast, East Coast, Great Lakes, and the Gulf throughout her career. Since retiring from the USCG, she continues to share her love of the sea and wants to help people have a great day on the water!

When Jay was in the United States Coast Guard he was either flying Helicopters, underway on cutters in the Arctic, or spending his free time messing around with his various sailboats. After he retired he lived aboard his sailboat and captained charters for 14 years around the Virgin Islands. Then he came back to the mainland and has been conducting deliveries of power and sailboats ever since, including working with the non-profit Sail Beyond Cancer helping families enjoy a day on the water.

Nate is a retired United States Coast Guard Chief Boatswains Mate with more than 20 years experience in the maritime industry and 23 years law enforcement experience. He has experience running large USCG Cutters and Small Boat stations including managing complex operations, personnel, training, equipment and vessel maintenance. He served on the East Coast, Gulf of Mexico and West Coast operating vessels of various lengths and tonnages over thousands of miles.

Jeremy is a USCG veteran and has been on the water the majority of his life. Whether it is fishing or cruising charters, Jeremy can be found near the sea. He is also an accomplished engineer in the Oil and Gas Industry.
